‘Parts and labour’ video from Bear Away
Check out the new video for ‘Parts and Labour’, this is the first single taken from Bear Away’s rocking new EP ‘Never in the same place’ out now on Engineer Records. https://youtu.be/xMniz0zviJo
The song is about your younger days, driving round with your friends not caring about anything. The opening lines ‘we gave it everything we got, we never focused on normal stuff, we were alive and young, with nothing left to show’, sum up the memories behind this song perfectly.

Artist Biography:
Bear Away are a brand spanking new melodic punk rock band from Scarborough, UK.
Having formed in early 2019, five good friends and musicians from Yorkshire hardcore bands decided to make the music they all loved. With influences taken from Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music, through to Menzingers and Iron Chic, they use these styles and add to them, creating their own catchy and powerful brand of melodic punk rock.
In July 2019 they released their first EP ‘Never in the same place’ on CD, cassette and digital with the help of Disillusioned Records and Engineer Records. This has been received very well, with positive feedback from people throughout the music scene, including the latest review from Razorcake magazine; “Strong and interesting twin guitar work plus a really good vocal performance go a long way to making Bear Away a band to keep an eye on”.
The band is hard at work booking more shows and will be recording again in the near future, but for now this is one hell of a debut release!

Bear Away – Parts and labour – Lyrics:
We gave it everything we got,
we never focused on normal stuff,
we where alive and young,
with nothing left to show.
We keep on driving down this road, with no where left to go,
we hit the lay by and stop the engine and chain smoke till we die.
we listen to those old punk bands,
with nothing left in the f**king tank,
we don’t give a f**k, we will just walk home through the night.
And I saw the brightest light, in the road, did this just ignite,
did we drink last night, did we take this too far,
who were you fighting with on the floor, I’ve never seen this before,
did you move to another town, did you keep on living,
or did you fall behind, did you get on with your life?
I saw the brightest light,
in the road, did this just ignite,
did we drink last night,
oh did we drink last night.
