Miss Vincent are premiering their new video with Kerrang!

“This video was a lot of fun to make. The whole thing is shot from one static angle, which is a nod to The Ramones’ I Wanna Be Sedated video and older styles of film making,” says frontman Alex Marshall. “We found this amazing place that looked like it hadn’t been touched since the 50s, with a really cool vintage vibe to it, and we changed almost nothing about the room to film in it. The song is about the almost addictive nature of sadness, how it can become a habit rather than a reaction, and we wanted to translate that as succinctly as possible into the video. We wanted to get across that feeling of being stuck in a rut, but also the ways to get out of it. We stuck a load of references to our favourite things too – from films like Forrest Gump, The Room, The Shining, (and even Spinal Tap), to books and graphic novels. Oh, and my cat Vincent is in it, and he totally steals the show.”

Since the release of their great Anchorless CD on Engineer Records and the following video for Dead Souls https://youtu.be/N-IIii5b4Yg the White Crosses boys have been a little quiet. They were working hard on new material and now with a new bassist. The new guy will be Marcin from Setting The Woods On Fire – So it’s all in the family and we know the new stuff will be awesome!

At long last One Day Elliott will be performing live this Saturday night at the Style and Winch in Maidstone as part of the fringe festival. It’s a special gig as it’s their first show in about 7 months and the first since Paul fractured his larynx in a freak accident in which thankfully he got compensation – It’s also his birthday! – So please come down and celebrate/rock out/have a beer with us all – we haven’t seen any of you for too long!
