Antillectual’s covers EP will come out on May 12! The 7″ will feature covers of Truth Hits Everybody (The Police), Hanging on the Telephone (The Nerves, Blondie), I Believe in Miracles (Ramones) and Search and Destroy (The Stooges). “In total we recorded 4 covers of “the roots of our roots”. Most of the bands we grew up on are still around or reunited, so we didn’t feel like covering those. It was much more interesting to go back one more generation and find early punk songs with a modern melodic vibe to them. For this cover recording session the rythm section was recorded live and we kept dubs and edits to a minimum. This is as raw/unpolished as Antillectual gets in the studio!”
